CASHBOOK® PLATINUM 2020.2.1 UPGRADE 

     
   
     

The latest release of Practical Systems Cashbook® Platinum, designated V2020.2.1 will be available from 10.00 AM (AEST) TOMORROW, 17th September 2020.

     
In recent times Practical Systems has been advising you of coming changes to our business processes that are aimed at improving the security of your software and related data.  This note provides information on what changes are now occurring, how to upgrade your software and how to ensure minimal disruption to your software access. 

Until now, you have gained access to your software and other services by using a client ID and a password to login. This release includes a change to the user authorisation process so that a Cashbook® Platinum user will create a personal email address and password combination as their access credential. 

In addition, we are implementing improved online payment facilities to streamline the creation or renewal of your subscription. As an existing customer, you will see these changes when you receive your next subscription renewal advice.

Implementation Instructions 

From Thursday, 17th September 2020 at 10.00am (AEST), all Cashbook® Platinum users will be able to access the download to update their software. Upon opening Cashbook® Platinum you will be prompted that there is an upgrade available with a box like this:

NB: If you do not get this prompt upon opening Cashbook® Platinum , go to the Help tab in the main menu bar at the top of the screen, select Help, then select Check for Upgrades.   

Click 'Yes'. 

As the download proceeds, a box like this will appear:

Once completed, the following box will appear. 

 Important: When you see this you must first close your Cashbook® Platinum  
program and then click OK.

PLEASE NOTE

  • If you share you Cashbook® Platinum data or company files with another user(s) on a different device, such as your accountant, that user will also need to upgrade the program in order to share/see your data.
